CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Scientist to join our Environmental & Sustainability Team based in Brooklyn, NY. This a remote position and will require local travel to client sites for field work as needed.
YOUR IMPACT:
CHA is uniquely qualified to assist any client with environmental services. From initial site characterization through remediation, CHA draws on the expertise of staff team members that possess considerable environmental site assessment and remediation experience. We have been providing environmental consulting services for over 25 years, and we employ a team of approximately 100 scientists and engineers who keep abreast of current regulatory issues.

At CHA, our Scientists work to execute field investigations at various locations and provide analyses, modeling, and reporting to our clients. This role in particular will focus on asbestos investigations and remediation, and the right individual will have experience with other types of HazMat inspections as well. REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Valid US driver's license is required
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience is required
  • NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector Certification required
  • NYC Asbestos Investigator Certification required
  • NYSDOL Mold Assessor Certification a plus
  • USEPA Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel is required, AutoCAD experience is a plus
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Must have the ability to work and navigate in the field in different weather conditions
  • Local travel (50%) is required
