SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform all assigned loan administration functions and assist assigned loan officers in all activities related to the preparation, disbursement and management of the loan officer’s loans and customer relationships. The position requires working with Bank and customer confidential information on a daily basis. The position requires regularly driving a motorized vehicle to various Bank locations and other job related functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, secure loan applications (as applicable) and financial information, title work, appraisals, flood certifications, certificates of good standing, corporate articles, lien searches, credit reports and such other documentation necessary to prepare a loan request for approval and closing.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, effectively communicate and work with other members of the bank’s loan administration team in obtaining the proper documentation and necessary forms for the preparation of all loan closings.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, assist loan officers in closing all loans.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, perform post-closing loan coordination such as disbursing loan proceeds, paying invoices, filing security documents, preparing loans for booking, collection and organization of loan files.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, perform and process loan payments, loan advances and other routine loan activities.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, assist loan officers in the management and collection of past due loans.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, assist loan officers in the management of their loan renewals and exceptions, including securing applicable documents and information as required.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, assist loan officers in servicing the expectations and needs of the Bank’s customers, specifically including return of all telephone calls the same day as received.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, serve as the loan officer’s liaison with the Bank’s loan administration department regarding all loan-related matters.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, maintain proficiency in using the Bank’s loan core system.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, as needed and directed, train and coach less experienced loan assistants.
- Always perform duties related to servicing the Bank’s customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- While working with confidential Bank and customer information, perform all other activities as reasonably requested by the Loan Administration Director and their managing loan officer.
- Works with Bank and customer confidential information while performing the essential duties enumerated above.
- Drives a motorized owned vehicle to Bank location in Danville, Arkansas for a two-week training event.
- Able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

SECONDARY DUTIES
- Assist loan officer in identifying Bank cross-selling opportunities for each customer.
- Handle or coordinate customer and loan officer loan system inquiries including problem resolution.
- Perform all other activities as reasonably requested by Senior Management of the Bank.
ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The incumbent will spend most of the time performing this function in a professional office-type setting, in which there may be some direct customer contact.
The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, keyboarding, speaking, listening, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, and reaching.
The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, smart phone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), scanner and image systems, computer terminal, laptop computer, personal computer, tablet, printers, or other equipment as directed.

SAFETY SENSITIVE
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position because it requires the regular handling of highly sensitive and confidential Bank and customer information and operating a motor vehicle on a routine basis. Performing this job in a discreet and professional manner requires alertness at all times. Any lapse of attention could have a significant financial impact on the Bank and its customers, or on others while operating a motor vehicle.
COMPETENCIES
- Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; host computer system; word processing, spreadsheet- and specialty software programs; basic keyboarding skills to meet production needs of the positions.
- Intermediate math skills including, but not limited to, the following: ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent; and draft and interpret bar graphs.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others; prepare reports, correspondence, and procedures; and communicate clearly with customers and other employees.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to treat others respectfully and courteously and carry out duties with a high level of integrity.
- Basic knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations and related Bank policies and procedures.
- Ability to complete daily tasks with limited supervision and minimal errors requiring re-work.
- The position requires the incumbent to hold a current, non-suspended driver’s license and a personal motorized vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage as governed by Bank policy. The incumbent may be required to travel in their personal motorized vehicle between Bank and customer locations, or to training/conferences in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities. Such travel may include travel both during the day and overnight and in and out of state as required

Basic Qualifications
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least three (3) years of administrative or secretarial related experience; or the equivalent of related education, experience, and/or training.
- Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school, or financial industry related curriculum, should be applicable to business administration and/or the financial industry.
- Loan assistant and/or loan administration experience is preferred.
