    Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking a Site Manager to join our team. Champaign County RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community. A great deal of planning goes into creating opportunities where people can succeed on their own, and RPC is doing that work. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPC’s people plan for people.

    The Site Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the center and meeting the Head Start Performance Standards, Public Health Regulations, and DCFS Licensing Standards. An important role of the Site Manager position is to provide vision and leadership to education staff in creating a positive learning environment where Head Start children gain the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that lead to future school success. Additionally, the Site Manager supports teachers and assistant teachers to become exceptional early childhood educators by engaging in their professional development, modeling effective teaching practices, and implementing agency policies and procedures.     Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field with coursework in early childhood education and early education teaching experience
    • Three years of supervisory experience
    • Education in Business Administration is preferred and will be given preference
    • CLASS observer certified preferred
    • Knowledge of Head Start and other agency rules and regulations preferred
    • Previous experience with culture management and inclusion initiatives
    • Previous experience with recruitment, staffing, and operations management
    • Prior direct supervision experience with teams of 20-30 people
    • Demonstrated organization and project management skills
    • Must Possess skills in oral and written communication, and interpersonal and management skills necessary to effectively supervise staff, relate to children, families, and community agencies
    • Must possess strong skills in the use of common office software for word processing, e-mails, internet, spreadsheets, and databases
    • Ability to learn the use of web-based systems
    • Learn the Head Start and other agency rules and regulations within three months
    • Experience with diverse populations, including at-risk families
    • Must meet all requirements of the Department of Children and Family Services
    • Respect for family, staff and agency confidentiality
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
    • Ability to adjust to change frequently
    • Ability to travel to meetings, trainings and other work sites
    • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
    • Respect for the principles of the Equal Employment Opportunities Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act
    Status: Full-Time/Year-Round
    FLSA Classification: Exempt
    Pay Grade: 6
    Hours: 7:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. M-F
    Starting Wage: $27.62
