The Devils Lake Journal is seeking a full time, Managing Editor. This position will be responsible for overseeing news, reporting, and putting the paper together.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee and create content for our print and digital platforms, and other niche publications
- Manages, supports, and leads existing content development in the newsroom.
- Applicants need a collaborative management style, a passion for local news, strong editing and writing skills and the ability to drive significant enterprise journalism.
- Networking with the community and interacting with the public are both necessary functions of this position.
- Strong technology skills, and excellent interpersonal communications are required.
- Creative, out-of-the-box ideas to present content in new ways
- Ability to bring to life ideas that connect the community
- Capable of seeing projects through from concept to delivery
