What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Adjunct position at Champlain College?
Marketing Adjunct Faculty needed for the Stiller School of Business at Champlain College for the Spring 2022 Semester, starting on January 17. The course will be delivered in a traditional on-campus format in Burlington, VT. Course syllabi are available upon request. Course descriptions for the available courses are provided below.
Course Descriptions
MKT210 - Consumer Behavior
Description: This course provides insight into consumer behavior, and how consumers engage in the decision making process. This includes an in-depth study of the internal, external, and situational influences on consumer behavior such as culture, learning, personality and lifestyle, values, and motivations. Students will learn to assess current brands' marketing strategies with respect to consumer behavior and develop an understanding of the impact consumerism has on various global populations.
MKT255 - Marketing Research
Description: Students will learn the marketing research process that underpins informed decision making by marketing managers throughout the strategic marketing process. Quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method analyses will be highlighted with special attention paid to the commonly used data collection methods and the criteria used to determine which is most appropriate in any given research program.
MKT450 Current Topics in Marketing
In this upper level marketing course, students will explore in-depth a current topic in marketing that is impacting society and business. Given the ever-changing nature of marketing there are always new areas to explore, and this course will allow students of all disciplines to engage with an important emerging topic selected by the instructor. This is a required course for marketing students and an elective option for all other majors.
Anyone interested in teaching this class should include a suggested topic for the course and include a topical outline as appropriate. Anyone interested in teaching this class will be required to develop the course.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree and significant work experience as it relates to the course content.
