What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Change Food for Good?
Change Food for Good (CFFG) is seeking a Program Manager to represent our organization at events/coalitions, support recruitment efforts, conduct outreach/follow-up, employer partnership development, resource coordination, and workforce coaching. The Program Manager will be provided 10 hours of training and professional development by the CFFG team to ensure they have the tools and knowledge to facilitate programs effectively and will be compensated for training time.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage team resources and performance by recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching employees & interns
Plan and implement programmatic needs by coordinating partners, students, wrap-around resources, and class materials
Provide career coaching support and job preparation to job-seeking participants (i.e resume development, mock interviewing, cover letter revisions, job search strategies, etc.)
Coordinate and facilitate resources like food relief, laptops/remote learning devices, farm materials sourcing/distribution
Gather employment data from alumni, employers, interns, and partners
Codify and improve operational systems and processes
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
2-3 Years of Experience in workforce development, career coaching or related industry
2-3 Years of experience in program/team management
Experience in data entry, generating reports, and communicating with high-level stakeholders required
Experience with youth-serving nonprofit organizations, a plus
Salesforce Certification, a plus
A Valid Driver’s License required
Abilities Required:
Able to conduct career development consults, conduct job matching, assess barrier removal needs, and coordinate resources
Work collaboratively with and mentor CFFG Interns/Alumni
Lead engaging virtual coaching sessions and work remotely
Facilitating cross-channel feedback from partners, clients, and employees to management/executive team members
Ensuring that all activities conform to local, federal, industry, and company standards
Observing, reviewing, and analyzing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas where improvements could be made
Manage time, communicate, and prioritize deliverables effectively
High attention to detail
Timeline and Expected Number of Work Hours:
32 hours per week
Start date: January 2024
Hourly Rate: $25/hr based on experience
