What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Associate (SF) position at Chapman & Cutler?
Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking to hire an Associate to work with the Asset Securitization and Corporate Finance groups in our San Francisco office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a finance-focused firm that consistently develops innovative and practical legal solutions for complex financial transactions. The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of experience at a law firm, bank or other finance company.
Specific examples of desired experience and prior or current representations include the following:
- Representing borrowers and lenders in commercial loan, lease, and/or structured finance transactions
- Representing lenders in workout transactions
- Completing due diligence review of material agreements, organizational documents, and/or lien searches
- Preparing corporate housekeeping documents, financing statements, and other ancillary documents needed for closing
- Drafting loan agreements, lease agreements, indentures, note purchase agreements, and/or offering documents for the above types of transactions
Strong communication and client relations skills and the ability to simultaneously handle multiple transactions are essential. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, analytical and writing skills, superior academic credentials as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Candidates must be members in good standing or eligible to waive into the California Bar.
