Basic Summary
We are seeking a Research Associate for our Biologics Testing Solutions site located in Malvern, PA.
You may be required to work a flexible schedule as needed to support Mammalian Cell and Virus/Vaccine Banking operations.
This individual will be responsible for leading a subgroup of the Manufacturing Services department, responsible for Mammalian cell banking activities as well as Virus and Vaccine operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft protocols for client-specific projects.
- Assist with client communication, project tracking, and coordination.
- Efficiently organize, plan, and execute daily desk/laboratory activities and provide technical guidance and training to less experienced technicians.
- Conduct aseptic growth and manipulation of virus and mammalian cells in the laboratory and clean room.
- Perform cell-based Virology experiments, and transfer and lead work in the clean room environment under cGMP conditions.
- Troubleshoot unexpected/invalid results, prioritize workload and solve moderately complex problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in biology or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of virus or cell culture bioprocessing experience at laboratory or production scale required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Demonstrated strong technical writing, oral communication and organizational skills desired.
- Strong computer skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in the use of typical software tools.
- Familiarity with data management required.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
