Medical Assistant IM & Specialties

Charles River Medical Associates is a professional organization of Internists and Specialists in the MetroWest area. As a growing organization, we are looking for skilled medical staff to join our team in our Framingham, Natick and Wellesley locations. We have both full time and part time openings:

Framingham: Full time medical assistant / phlebotomist position in a 1 MD, 1NP Internal Medicine, supporting both providers. Phlebotomy skills are preferred but are not required. Hours: M - FR 8am - 4:30 pm

Framingham: Full time medical assistant position in a busy 1 MD, 2NP Internal Medicine/Endocrinology office, supporting 1 provider. Phlebotomy skills are preferred but are not required. Hours: M - FR 8am - 4:30 pm

Framingham: Full time medical assistant/phlebotomist position in a 2 MD, 2NP Internal Medicine/Urgent Care office, supporting1 NP in the Urgent Care setting. Phlebotomy skills are preferred but are not required. Hours: M - FR 8:30am - 5pm

Framingham: Full time medical assistant position in a busy 1 MD, 1 NP Cardiology office, supporting both provider. EKG Knowledge required, additional Cardiology experience preferred but are not required. Hours: M - FR 8:30 am - 5 pm

Natick: Full time medical assistant position in a 1 MD Internal Medicine office, supporting 1 provider. Phlebotomy skills are required. Hours: M - FR 8:30am -5 pm

Natick: Part time medical assistant position in a 1 MD Internal Medicine/GI office, supporting 1 provider. Phlebotomy skills are required. Hours: M - Wed 8:00am -5 pm. Float pool available Th/Fr to make this full time.

Natick: Part time medical assistant position in a 2 MD, 3 NP Internal Medicine office, supporting 1 provider. Phlebotomy skills are a plus. Hours: M - FR 8:00am -12 pm

Wellesley: Full time medical assistant position in a busy 2 MD, 2NP Internal Medicine office, supporting 1 provider. Phlebotomy skills are preferred but are not required. Hours: M - FR 8am - 4:30 pm

Hours: Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Highlights of this job

We will train you in the areas listed below and help you to develop the skills needed to succeed in any medical practice and beyond. For gap year students, this position will help you to gain valuable direct patient care experience to prepare for medical, nursing, or PA school.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

· Preparing and cleaning exam rooms

· Rooming patients, taking vitals, and performing EKGs

· Updating immunization records

· Entering laboratory and imaging orders

· Scheduling appointments

· Processing prescriptions, referrals, and prior-authorizations

· Performing patient education

- Providing administrative and phone support as needed including helping with patient scheduling, checking patients in and out, performing patient callbacks under physician guidance, among other administrative tasks

- Coordinating high quality patient care with other offices as needed

- Performing phlebotomy in a point-of-care environment

· Performing lab tests and procedures such as urinalyses and injections

• Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
