Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Create and maintain software applications, middleware, and backend that are robust and secure to make the customer trading and asset management easier. Design high throughput and low latency application by means of horizontal scalable applications. Design of Multi POD architecture with 24/7 high availability, scalability, and read and write-performance applications. Understand the business requirements, communicate with team to provide a foolproof software solution using the cutting-edge technologies to avoid any unnecessary technical debt in the future. Monitor the health and performance of critical applications to address any issues to avoid down time. Guide employees on technical and project aspects; oversee invoicing and budgets for team. Position supervises 5 subordinates (1 Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Sr, 1 Sr Specialist - Software Development & Engineering, Manager, Software Development & Engineering Sr, and 2 Associate - Software Development & Engineering). Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.
Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

What you have
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 7 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in a related occupation or a Master's degree and 5 years of experience. Experience must include the following: Kafka IBM MQ , Rabbit MQ, and Aerospike; AppDynamics, SonarQube, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Harness, SOATest, Postman, Veracode, Resharper, NHibernate, LLBLGEN and Splunk Tools; GCP; PCF and IaaS; Visual Studio 2012/2015/2019, SQL 2000/2005/2007/2008, or Oracle; and, REST API, WebAPI, Web-services, WCF-Services, and Task Parallel Library.
