Job Title: Executive Director
Reports to: Charleston Chamber & Economic Development Board of Directors
Status: Independent Contractor (approx. 20 hours/week)
Pay: $18-20 per hour
Location: Charleston, Arkansas
Position Summary: The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing Charleston Chamber & Economic Development (CCED) operations. The Executive Director develops, promotes, and plans events and functions, communicates effectively with the membership on needs, ideas, and opportunities, and develops and implements an annual budget and organizational plan that advances the mission of CCED. The Executive Director is enthusiastic, creative, and well organized, and is an excellent communicator capable of functioning well in an independent environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: Membership retention and recruitment, social media platforms and website management, facilitate meetings (i.e. Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Chamber committees), accounts payable/receivable, attend and coordinate special events and projects, public relations, management of CCED financial interests.
Qualifications:
Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination and experience
High School Diploma
Must be able to attend planned events – including some weekends/evenings
Must have reliable transportation
Computer experience including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
Prior experience in a chamber of commerce, economic development, and/or non-profit organization management preferred but not required.
Preference will be given to applicants who reside within the Charleston, Arkansas community.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
