Charleston Grounds Management is seeking to hire a Business Development/ Sales Manager. This position is responsible for building relationships with potential clients and closing new sales. You will coordinate and ensure that all clients are given accurate information and represent the company with the highest standards. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures of Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Installation and Enhancements. The ability to sell new maintenance contracts and be able to design all projects will set you apart from the rest. This person should have or be willing to gather a portfolio of clients in order to meet and exceed all sales goals.

This role fosters the growth and development of the company, by maximizing the established teams and setting goals, you should continue to develop and grow the Company’s client base.

Job Duties:

· Prospect to find and build relationships with new clients (property managers, builders, commercial developers, general contractors, HOA Board members and others)

· Develop lasting relationships with clients

· Consulting with current and prospective clients to ensure understanding of company and services available

· Determine customer needs and build a solution specifically for them

· Inspect site, review customer ideas, analyze budget and define a plan to meet needs

· Lead and facilitate all customer concerns throughout sales process

· Responds to all inquiries and requests for bid in a timely manner

· Ensure follow up is performed on current customers

· Ensure renewals on maintenance contacts from client base

· Negotiate pricing with clients as needed with integrity

· Prepares and presents proposals in complete and professional manner, according to company standards

· Follows-up on all bids and gives customer solutions to fit all parties needs

· To meet or exceed sale goals on all maintenance, installation and enhancement projects

· To ensure that all sales are bid correctly and beneficial to the company

· Be able to accurately bid a new maintenance contact

· Accountable to work on your own

· Regularly meet with Account Manager and Crew Leaders to ensure seamless contract execution

· Ensure financial goals are met by maintaining acceptable margins on all contracts

· Be able to use all types of computer software and design software

· Cold call or use other forms of selling techniques to hit all sales goals

· Sell within a specific territory and be able to handle multiple high end clients at once

Job Requirements:

· 4 years sales management and customer service in the landscape industry

· Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, or similar subject matter is preferred (related work experience equivalent)

· Advanced knowledge of landscape maintenance, plants, turf, flowers, ornamental grasses, weeds, pests, etc. in order to price contracts

· Advanced experience with landscape maintenance skills: mowing, fertilization, clean up, edging, pest management, weed presentation, pruning, shrub care, landscape lighting in order to upsell contracts

· Proven track record of landscape maintenance/enhancement sales

· Hit all sales goals

· Close sales while maintaining positive relationships with clients

· Sell new maintenance bids within scope of business

· Sell landscape install and enhancements in line with business model

· Must know geographical area

· Must be able to build a portfolio of clients

· Must have a valid Driver’s License with no adverse marks (able to go on company insurance)

· Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

· High level communication skills- verbal, written and physical

· Technology Savvy- word, excel, PowerPoint, adobe and other CRM software

· Ability to read a blueprint, CAD drawing, and design plan

· Willing to take a hands-on approach to the everyday business

· Able to switch tasks if something were to change

· Passion for the landscape industry

· People skills and the ability to motivate others

· Exceptional multitasker with strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills to accommodate all jobs tasks

· Highly motivated and driven

· Accountable to their own actions and the ability to hold someone else accountable

· Time management skills to be able to work on own with little guidance

· Able to work with a team in order to complete all projects

· Integrity in all areas of the sales process

· High quality of work ethic

· Professional to be in front of clients

· Advanced problem-solving skills

· Productivity to ensure clear and focused goals

· Use all available resources to achieve goals in an organized manner

· Spanish speaking a plus

· Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

· After hours work may be required based on client needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
