What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Manager position at Charley?
The Floor Manager works closely with the General Manager, Senior VP of Food Beverage, and Executive Chef to ensure an exceptional dining experience for all guests. The Floor Manager oversees the dining room operations and ensures all team members are delivering outstanding service and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing restaurant operations and leading by example on the floor to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, policies, quality and guest experience standards.
- Prepares weekly updates on restaurants and collaborates closely with corporate and senior leaders to plan activities and achieve goals.
- Engages with guests to receive feedback on their service, food quality, and overall experience.
- Oversees and assists with employee hiring, assignment, training, payroll, scheduling, evaluations, and terminations.
- Maintain inventory of food and beverage, and place order requisitions or purchases food, beverage, supplies and equipment as needed.
- Keep a record of income and expenses.
- Documents, investigates, and resolves employee and guest incidents.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Attributes
- 2 years restaurant management experience, in a high-volume setting.
- Serving experience and strong beverage knowledge preferred.
- Possess strong understanding of restaurant financials.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service.
- Outstanding leadership qualities.
- Proficiency in restaurant software system.
- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time and lift up to 35lbs as needed.
