BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Paralegal III, you will work closely with attorneys and internal stakeholders, utilizing your in-depth knowledge of legal concepts and processes to enhance the efficiency of our Legal Department. You'll handle assignments of medium scope, impact, and importance, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our team.
WHAT OUR PARALEGALS ENJOY MOST
- Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
- Collecting, reviewing, and drafting legal documents of some complexity, correspondence, and other materials requiring a strong level of legal terminology and document formatting knowledge
- Maintaining and monitoring various transactions' schedules and deadlines
- Drafting correspondence of some complexity, including consents, notices, disclosure schedules, closing documents, diligence requests and responses
- Reviewing diligence for the attorneys and preparing a summary, including a recommended course of action
- Maintaining and updating transaction files
- Acting as the central point of contact for due diligence, transaction statuses and organization and other projects
- Ability to be nimble in a fast paced environment and pivot to prioritized tasks
- Performing other duties as requested
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- 5 years paralegal or equivalent work experience
- Paralegal certification or Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies or related field or equivalent experience required
- Project Management experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft software, especially Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, preferred
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, transaction processes and other related matters
- Legal research and investigative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
