Description

Chartis has an immediate need for a Telecommunications Specialist (CCD) to support a federal customer in Washington, DC.

In this role, the Telecommunications Specialist will work a team of information and telecommunications systems engineers in telecommunications systems development, testing, deployment, and operations, while meeting DHS EA architecture compliance requirements for software systems, command and control, HF and SATCOM telecommunications engineering

support: architecture, scope design, systems development and engineering lifecycle, configuration management, concept development, implementation, integration and testing, operations and maintenance (i.e. troubleshooting to board- or component-level repair, and repair of electronic -based equipment) NCSD 3-10 or NCS 16-1 continuity communications capabilities

support, public alert and warning systems, primary entry points.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field + 5 years experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining High Frequency (HF) and Satellite Communication (SATCOM) systems
  • Similar experience in secure and non-secure voice, video, and data communications and various radio technologies to include HF automatic link establishment (HF-ALE) and land
  • Mobile radio (LMR)
  • Understanding of COOP/COG and the NCS 3-10 or NCS 16-1 requirements definitely a plus.
  • US Citizenship
  • TS Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Six (6) or more years in telecommunications related field
  • Ability to travel with little notice

Preferred:

  • Graduate level study in a related technical field of study accounts for two years' experience
  • Public Alert and Warning System experience
  • DHS SELC, and DHS 4300A/B and/or DIACAP is a plus
  • CEH
  • Security +
  • Comparable CET, A/Net+, CCNA, MCSE Trained
  • RF Systems subject matter expert (SME)
