What will a Processor I do?
Properly prepare items for sale by sorting, hanging, tagging, and labeling wares.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Process items such as clothing, accessories, wares, and other merchandise
- Grades, sorts, hangs, tag salable items
- Gets all saleable items to the sales floor in a timely manner
- Achieve the minimum of 85 pieces per hour production
- Provide assistance to donors
- Give prompt assistance to people wishing to donate
- Offer every donor a receipt o Respond appropriately to questions regarding CGI’s policy on acceptable items for donation
- Communicates shipment and transportation concerns to Retail Management team
- Work assigned schedule
- At assigned workstation and ready to work by the scheduled starting time
- Understands and follows the Attendance Policy
- Work at other locations as needed
- GIGCA will provide advance notice when possible
- Travel costs are reimbursed in accordance with GIGCA’s Travel Policy
- Complies with safety rules and performs duties in a safe manner
- Understands and complies with the Personal Protective Equipment Policy
- Understands and complies with all policies and procedures related to safety
- Through words and actions support Chattanooga Goodwill’s mission, Vision, and values; furthermore, actions and decisions will align with organizational guiding principles.
- Maintain agency, employee, participants confidentiality. Violation of confidentiality may be cause for termination.
May include other duties as assigned by management.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED equivalent.
· Ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse group of individuals
· Regular, consistent attendance.
