Job Description

Director of Enterprise Marketing EMEA at Checkout.com

As Head of Enterprise Marketing, EMEA , you’ll manage, mentor, lead, and hire a team of on-the-ground marketers across EMEA (The UK, Europe and Middle East). You’ll focus on generating opportunities for our commercial team through events, demand generation initiatives, mass campaigns including account-based approaches, digital marketing strategies, and more.

Reporting to our CMO, Leela Srinivasan, you will partner closely with Marketing and Commercial stakeholders globally in establishing best practice across demand generation, account-based marketing and field marketing for the EMEA region. Ideally you will have a specific understanding of Enterprise marketing and be comfortable operating in a high-growth environment.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Leveraging strong account-based marketing experience to drive Checkout.com’s success with both existing customers and future customers in the Enterprise and Mid-Market segments.
  • Overseeing our events strategy throughout your region: identifying opportunities to gain traction through relevant local, regional, and industry events, and managing Checkout.com’s presence and investment.
  • Partnering with commercial leaders in the UK, Europe and Middle East and their teams to strategize on how Checkout.com will accelerate business growth across key verticals.
  • ‘Owning the metrics’ for our marketing performance across the region, including driving performance analysis and reporting on core performance indicators with the support of our Marketing Analytics team.
  • Supporting your team members in leveraging global campaigns and playbooks created by our global team, adapting where necessary to ensure they are relevant and impactful within specific countries.
  • Partnering closely with our global Communications, Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Brand teams to ensure that Checkout.com is positioned prominently and favorably in the market.
  • Creating net new campaigns and initiatives in support of overall demand creation goals. Selecting and managing contractors or local agencies to supplement the internal team’s work where necessary.
  • Providing regional insights back to the global leadership team to further our understanding of how Checkout.com is succeeding market by market and what we’re learning along the way, including trends and competitive intel.
  • Over time and based on the priorities of the business, supporting Checkout.com’s continued team expansion in existing and additional countries across EMEA.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated excellence in B2B marketing, demand generation, and field marketing, with 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong demonstrated experience with account-based marketing strategies and KPIs
  • Customer marketing experience, including knowledge of how to effectively drive cross-sell, upsell, expansion, engagement and evangelism among a customer base
  • People-focused leader with proven ability to build creative and collaborative teams, develop talent, and link performance to overall business objectives.
  • Knowledge of demand gen metrics and tech stack, with a history of close partnership with sales leadership in particular.
  • Experience working for a global organization and partnering with colleagues across multiple time zones, geographies and cultures
  • Relentless curiosity, a data-driven perspective, and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent communication skills. This role demands someone who can present effectively to the c-suite but is also comfortable getting into the weeds with the team.
  • Payments and/or fintech experience is a plus though not required.
  • Entrepreneurial, scrappy mentality and ability to ‘get stuff done’ under pressure; a sense of humor helpful. :)
