Chem-Pak, Inc. acts as the manufacturing arm of national brands, producing industrial and consumer products that are sold in Home Depot, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Wal-Mart.
Our team of chemist’s and project managers help develop new products and bring them to market, while our supply chain and production group manufactures and delivers product to store shelves.
We are located in Martinsburg, WV an easy commute from Winchester, Hagerstown and surrounding areas.
Summary
Accountants support upper-level accounting managers and senior accountants while providing important services within the office. They are integral to the hierarchy of the office and resolve many issues before they become larger problems. Accountants have the following responsibilities:
· Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation
· Maintaining accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate signatures.
· Updating financial records via accounting software
· Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts
· Research variances
Essential Job Functions
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks.
- Distributes signed checks as required.
- Process all online payments & ACH payments.
- Answers all vendor inquiries.
- Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files.
- Prepares cleared checks for storage.
- Applies customer payments.
- Implements Credit policy for collections, new account analysis and customer service support.
- Researches and solves payment discrepancies.
- Processes credit card payments and credits
- Adjusts accounts as needed.
- Prepares daily manual deposits.
- Assists with monthly closings.
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
- Prepare reconciliations between subsidiary reports and general ledger balances.
- Prepares weekly reports for management.
- Reconcile credit card bills.
- Prepare 1099 filings.
- Collect & manage W-9’s.
- Collect & Distribute mail.
- Audit AR & AP files regularly
- Other accounting functions as assigned.

Physical Requirements
o Office environment with largely a seated desk role although it requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
