Brief Description
- Supporting a clinical practice environment where nursing staff provides exceptional care for the patients.
- Assigning duties to nursing staff, providing appropriate feedback and assessment of care delivered to ensure that patients' safety is maintained
- Ensuring that staff schedules are consistent with Patients needs and provide the accountability of established standard of care.
- Regularly conducting staff meetings to assure that information is disseminated to all appropriate parties.
- Collaborating with off shift and other administrative personnel to assure consistency of practice across all three shifts on a continual basis.
- Designing and providing employee training using competencies established by the DON for evaluation of all nursing staff, including use of EMR.
- Assisting the physician and staff with the daily coordination of patient care and physician access.
- Functioning as the liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
- Maintaining efficient patient flow.
- Appropriately demonstrates telephone triage protocols.
- Appropriately adheres to universal safety precautions
- Checks and maintains logs for emergency equipment according to policy.
- RN License in the state of New Jersey
- 2 years of nurse management experience
- BLS certification
- Excellent interpersonal and computer skills
- BSN preferred
- eCW experience preferred, but willing to train
