What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office / Administrative Manager position at Chenhalls Staffing?

We are looking for an Albuquerque-based Office Manager / Administrative Manager to help us support the Bureau of Indian Affairs and their Tribal Climate Resilience Project. As a result, any familiarity with climate issues or environmental efforts are greatly appreciated. This position will be primarily performed remotely but could also include up to 10% travel to tribal lands in the "lower 48". This person will assist with activities, projects and tasks in some or all of the following areas: tribal property, travel coordination, information technology, human capital, budgeting, records management, and document creation. The duties include liaising with Management, monitoring lines of business and external partners, effectively communicating information to staff, and other duties as assigned. The Program Manager will also be expected to analyze, evaluate, develop, and execute mission support policies and procedures; and formulate recommendations and plans for improving, organizing, executing, and managing assigned activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of, and skill in using Management Information Systems (e.g. Microsoft Office), computer applications, principles and techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to conduct efficient, goal-oriented meetings with agency personnel.
  • The ability to work independently within defined time frames to plan and organize the work, resolve conflicts and produce a final product when needed.
  • An analytical thinker who can plan and evaluate as well as initiate, coordinate and conduct training sessions with management, staff, and operating personnel.

There will be recurring deliverables including activity reports, status of ongoing activities, problems or issues to be resolved, and any alternatives or solutions for identified problems.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $52,500.00 - $58,000.00 per year
