SUMMARY

The Web Support Specialist I will utilize computer science education/training to work with CNSS and client staff to develop a web-based application and dashboard with the goal of improve data and product delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements for this position include technology development and deployment, data curation and database management, and information and data product creation. The programmer shall collaborate with CNSS and client staff to develop and/or maintain a web application(s) for processing of newly acquired datasets, evaluation and correction of datasets classifying Deep-Water Horizon related events. The Web Developer /Programmer shall support the technical development and maintenance of the web application. Independent creativity and development within these functions is encouraged. Products will be communicated verbally and in writing.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

None. Will report to CNSS Program Manager and may coordinate daily work with client representative (Task Order Manager).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Computer Science preferred) or similar certificate programs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge with the implementation of features and web interfaces of products using such languages as PHP, HMTL, and JavaScript.
  • Ability to work closely with team in troubleshooting and tuning the windows-based infrastructure.
  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Knowledge of computer programming languages that are applicable to designing webpages and interfacing with databases.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Remote/teleworking. Client office is located in Little Rock, AR.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $40,000 to $42,000 annually
