Operations Manager (SPEAR)
This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.
The Operations Manager (SPEAR) has a crucial role in leading day-to-day logistical and warehouse operations to support Department of State (DoS) efforts to equip host nation quick response forces comprised of local law enforcement personnel to counter threats against DoS diplomatic facilities, operations, and personnel in high-threat or high-risk environments. Your responsibilities will involve receiving, storing, and managing inventory, preparing equipment international shipment (including ITAR, EAR, and dangerous goods certifications) in compliance with U.S., international and host nation regulations. You will lead a team of 4 personnel through training, coaching, teaching, and mentoring while adhering to contractual requirements and SOPs, The ideal candidate must have at least 6 years of logistics warehouse experience including 3 years of supervisory experience, military experience a plus.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Operations Manager (SPEAR): DOE
Pay commensurate with experience.

Operations Manager (SPEAR) Responsibilities Include
- Provide inspired, active leadership during day-to-day on-site inventory operations.
- Motivates, organizes, and encourages teamwork within the project team to ensure productivity targets are met.
- Review SOPs and operational processes annually, recommend improvements, as needed
- Collaborate with other managers to identify areas of improvement, particularly across interdepartmental activities.
- Ensure daily activity is accurately recorded in SharePoint database.
- Using QuickBooks, ensure timely posting of funding and spending activity, including preparation of AP vouchers and monthly reports.
- Develop plans to focus on target areas such as obsolescence, reduction of bulk inventory, and optimization of personnel and resources.
- Ensure inventory operations and personnel comply with all contractual requirements, safety regulations, SOPs, and company policies.
- Plan and execute monthly cycle counts and the annual physical inventories.
- Coach, teach, and mentor assigned personnel including goal setting, performance appraisals and reviews.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Six years' experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management, 3 years' proven leadership, and 2 years' experience with enterprise inventory management systems.
- B.S degree in Operations or Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain, a plus.
- Familiarity with Royal 4 WISE Warehouse Management System (WMS) and QuickBooks preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Leader with demonstrated ability to lead operational change in a dynamic environment.
- Outstanding critical thinking, interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of international shipping requirements and dangerous goods regulations.
- Experience using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices.
- Proficiency with MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license. Meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
