Keep all horses, mules, and ponies in condition by grooming, exercising as directed, and stocking supplies. Maintain files related to line, medical history, and feed requirements on all horses, mules, and ponies. Retrieve and return livestock from and to pastures. Saddle livestock and assist riders with mount and dismount. Ability to make riding experience, for riders of all proficiency levels, a pleasant experience. Assist with cleaning tack and accessories. Assist with guest activities and assist Veterinarian during site visits. Assist other departments from time to time as needed to complete projects. Involves frequent lifting and carrying 50 pounds, interaction with all livestock, outdoor work in all weather, weekend work.
Over 2 years working in a trail-riding operation. Must have demonstrated riding skills. Instruction certification a plus. Livestock management certification a plus.'
