The role of the Banquet Set Up/Houseperson in Newark, OH, US is to arrange, maintain and renew hotel banquet areas in accordance with contract specifications and company standards. Timely upkeep, tidiness and orderliness are essential in ensuring the success of larger events and functions, and assistance to the supervisor shall be provided during such occasions.Compensation:
$7.50 - hr gratuity pool
Responsibilities:Physical Requirements:
- Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally,and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand for long hours
- Ability to work long hours, at times back to-back events
- Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
- Near Vision – the ability to see details at close range
- Accountabilities: The Banquet Set Up / Houseperson must ensure that all banquet and meeting rooms are properly set in a timely manner, so that the banquet service staff may prepare for functions.
- Responsible for timely, and safe breakdown of meeting rooms after event completion
- Must refresh rooms on time, have water in rooms, clean rooms, and set for appropriate functions
