What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at CherryWood Village?

The kitchen is the heart of every home, and our Dishwashers play a vital role in the kitchen by ensuring that utensils, serving dishes and prep areas are clean and ready to use so our cooks can prepare delicious meals that nurture and enhance the lives of our residents. And we know we need hire the right people for this vital role.

Typical Schedule: Full-time and Part-time positions available. 12:30pm – 9:00 pm. Must have weekend and holiday availability!

Position Summary: Dishwashers ensure that our kitchen, utensils and dishes are clean and ready to use when needed. This work must be done in compliance with state, federal and local health, and safety regulations. Dishwashers also must adhere to facility policies and procedures, as well as communicate with staff and residents in a positive and professional manner.

Essential Duties:

· Ensures all food utensils are clean, sanitized and in appropriate condition as needed for resident and staff use.

· Ensures appropriate use and upkeep of dishwashing equipment, utensils and serving dishes. Also responsible for notifying supervisor immediately if equipment does not function properly or utensils and serving dishes need to be replaced.

· Participates in Food Service meetings when on duty. Offers possible solutions to presented concerns/ complaints in a positive and constructive manner.

· Assists with inventory of kitchen supplies and proper storage of supplies.

· Maintains good personal hygiene and adhere to dress code as outlined in the employee manual.

· Ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents.

Required Qualifications:

· Must be able to speak, read and write at a basic level in the English language.

· Have and maintain CPR & First Aid Certification (on-site training available).

· Must have and maintain a Food Handlers Certification for the State of Oregon.

· Great attitude, and willingness to learn. All employees will be required to complete online, and in-person industry and position-specific training required by the State and CherryWood Village.

· Continually have good organizational and teamwork skills that promote positive and productive work force.

Summary of Benefits: Available to all employees regardless of full-time or part-time status except as noted

  • On the first of the month following 60 days of employment; full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week may enroll in Health Insurance (85% employer paid).
