Systems Specialist (Patching & Compliance)

Location: Remote

Must reside or relocate to service territories - DE, MD, PA, OH, VA, GA, FL, NC

The Patching and Compliance Administrator will perform administration of patch management solutions and will work in a team based environment performing technical duties supporting patch management. The Patching Administrator will be responsible for executing patches and configuration updates throughout the enterprise. The Patching Administrator acts as a threat and vulnerability resource assisting with daily operations specifically the remediation of identified vulnerabilities ensuring compliance and security goals. This role works with Systems Administrators, Network Administrators, Cyber Security and application owner business teams to track, and remediate open vulnerabilities on identified systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assess vulnerability & patch information from compliance scans for Cisco Networking devices, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and Linux.
* Provides remediation services in conjunction with infrastructure teams based on vulnerability & policy compliance scans
* Ensure patch deployments are up to date on all devices throughout the enterprise
* Utilize tools to automate patch deployment, such as Ivanti, SCCM, and other tool sets
* Responsible for patching assets in test and production environments while ensuring continuing operations
* Participate in Change Control Board and technical review meetings to discuss patching, vulnerability impacts and considerations.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum 2-5 years operational experience remediating/patching systems in an Enterprise environment
* Basic knowledge in patching Linux, VMware and Windows servers
* Basic knowledge of patching Cisco networking hardware
* Ability to coordinate with cross-functional work teams toward task completion
* Written and verbal communication skills are a must
* Experience with the management and deployment of firmware

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $20.19 - $26.92 per hour
