- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years experience working in a behavioral health setting or related field required

- Coordinate and manage all activities associated with the intake process ensuring all intake activities are completed.
- Oversee the integrity of medical records in the H&CS program’s electronic medical record system.
- Develop and monitor systems to ensure that intakes are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Develop systems and procedures to train internal staff to maintain the integrity of all data entered into database systems.
- Collaborate with case management to ensure a smooth transition when a client is accepted into a program.
- Identify areas of growth and expansion within IBHS services and facilitate an expansion plan.
- Prepare and submit required reports to ensure all are informed on key indicators of the intake process.
- Work with a staffing agency to ensure appropriate staffing of intake cases.
- Maintain strong, professional communication across all stakeholders to ensure that needs are being met and to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee compliance with all regulatory requirements from designated entities.
- Provide support to families and clients trying to navigate the behavioral health systems.
- Provide program/service information to all potential stakeholders. This includes coordinating services with Early Intervention and help staff properly direct students and families through the right process of receiving IBHS, etc.
- Coordinate intakes with other behavioral health providers and insurance entities as required.
- Coordinate and track special projects related to intakes.
- Perform additional duties as needed and specified by new mandates and requirements.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This is a 260-day project staff position whose main responsibility is to coordinate and oversee the intake processes and procedures for the Intensive Behavior Health Services’ program and other related Home & Community Services program services. This position will be responsible to update and maintain all intake databases and to facilitate the intake process including ascertaining client funding sources (insurance, etc.). The Intake Coordinator supervises the Case Specialists and works with the Case Managers to create an efficient intake process. This position meets regularly with coordinators, supervisors, secretaries, and case management to promote reliable intake processes and procedures. This position will assist in the staffing of incoming cases and provide the program coordinators an update on potential intakes and barriers in bringing new clients into the program. Additionally, this position will take an active role in promoting and expanding the H&CS program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
DIMENSIONS AND ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS OF THE POSITION:
The intake coordinator reports directly to the Supervisor of H&CS. Some freedom to act will be given to implement best practices. The incumbent will be responsible for: all non-clinical duties necessary to aid the H&CS program’s intake coordination, ensuring the timely reviewing and approving of potential intakes, identifying client funding, and staffing, which includes direct communication with staffing agencies, etc.
