Who We Are:
Mental Health Support Services (MHSS) is the provider of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder services for children and adults in Chesterfield County. Do you enjoy developing new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities? Great! We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator for our Service Coordination program!
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the assigned area of responsibility; two years of experience in the area of assignment with emphasis on quality assurance/control; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Developmental disability waiver services/Intellectual Disabilities waiver services experience preferred. Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) preferred; Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred. Experience with electronic health records preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of the principles and practices of the area of assignment; of quality assurance audit and compliance activities applicable to the area of assignment; of qualitative and quantitative analysis as they apply to the area of assignment. Ability to apply specialized knowledge of programs or services specific to the area of assignment; to plan and coordinate quality assurance/improvement activities; to gather and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate programs or services; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.
Duties
- Provides training to staff regarding quality improvement;
- Develops data capture tools to measure quantity, quality, and effectiveness of programs and/or services, etc. as required;
- Develops and maintains a system for analysis for programs and/or services, and other related issues;
- Interprets qualitative and quantitative data, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations to achieve quality improvements;
- Conducts audits, works with the leadership team in response to audit responses, etc; and
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Shift
Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
