Library Assistant I
The Chesterfield Public Library, located in the heart of historic Chesterfield, NH, is looking for an energetic, and creative person who wants to work with a enthusiastic staff.
The Library Assistant 1 reports directly to the Library Director and is responsible for a wide range of activities. Approximately 20 hours per week, including late afternoon/evenings and rotating Saturday hours.
Responsibilities:

  • Helping users locate library materials
  • Fielding inquiries at the service desk
  • Checking in/out library materials and reshelving
  • Managing user accounts
  • Collection maintenance and inventory projects
  • Exhibits and displays
  • Community engagement

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous library experience, or equivalent, is required. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
The Chesterfield Library is fully open for in-person visits with no limits to indoor capacity and no appointments are needed. Masks are required for all unless fully vaccinated. Hand sanitizer must be used upon entering the Library.
