Mechanic
Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of a Field Mechanic, located in Orla, TX through June 21, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time).
The Mechanic will assume the responsibility of safely maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment associated with oil and gas production operations and processing.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Will be responsible for regularly scheduled large scale preventative maintenance and corrective repair maintenance activities on large COOP compression fleet and additional rotating equipment including VRU’s, Air Compressors and a variety of pumps.
- Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies.
- Follow safe operating practices as described in the MCBU Safe Practice Manual and maintain a safe working environment
- Responsible for work order management through CMMS and mobile applications, pre-work scoping activities, rotating equipment troubleshooting and other equipment reliability efforts
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays on assigned work schedule and overtime as workload demands
- Demonstrated commitment to Chevron Way Values
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Must be willing to work 14/14 rotational schedule based out of workforce camp in Orla, TX.
- Associates of Applied Science degree or higher or Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in Compression, Industrial Maintenance Technology or related mechanical technology discipline
- 2 years current industrial mechanical experience, with emphasis on reciprocating engines, compressors, centrifugal compressors, turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, and generators
- Familiarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety, environmental and production related issues
- Ability to perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of major oil and gas production and facility process systems
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), CMMS, and an aptitude for learning new software applications.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with limited supervision.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with in a diverse team
- Must be able to read and interpret manuals and other technical materials
- Relocation will not be considered.
- Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
