What are the responsibilities and job description for the OE Advisor, OE/PSM and II&R position at Chevron?
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of OE Advisor, OE/PSM and II&R through February 7th at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Lead the incident investigation process, facilitate investigations by leading a team of subject matter experts through event data to determine root causes and develop corrective actions. Periodically perform data analysis of events to provide systematic improvement recommendations. Own the Incident Investigation & Reporting Process and workflow tool to ensure proper reporting and investigation. Work with refinery leadership to ensure continually improvement aimed at incident prevention.
- Support the HSE Leadership Team in internal and external reporting to meet Regulatory and Company requirements. Understanding of OSHA Recordkeeping and ability to learn and adhere to Company reporting requirements.
- Lead Assurance activities in the refinery through the systematic identification of critical safeguards. Develop verification and validation activities to maintain safeguard effectiveness and facilitate their completion through partnership with Operations, Maintenance and HSE personnel. Communicate learnings from activities with Refinery Leadership and second-level leaders in Operations, Maintenance, HSE and Process Safety to improve system resilience.
- Key role in completing analysis and review steps in the Operational Excellence Management System Process. Partners with SMEs and HSE/PSM personnel to evaluate data and develop annual and 3-year OE business plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years with relevant degree or 10 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, Environment or similar.
- Experience leading and/or participating in PSM Process Hazard Analyses
- Certification in an industry recognized incident investigation methodology
- Experience in risk management, process safety, and personal safety
- Experience in incident investigation, certification in one industry recognized investigation methodology (Why Tree, Taproot, etc).
