What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Marketing Manager position at Chewy?
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a consumer-centric Brand Marketing Manager to join our Brand Marketing Team, in Plantation, FL, or Boston, MA. This role will drive brand marketing campaign development, execution, and measurement for key Chewy brand initiatives. With storytelling, strategic insights, and data acumen, the ideal candidate will actively shape and express the Chewy brand to drive consumer awareness, consideration, purchase, and loyalty.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage Upper & Mid-funnel campaign development (Broadcast Television, Social, OOH, and Audio) and Go-To-Market execution for our Brand Marketing efforts.
- Partner with internal Creative and Studio teams on brand campaign creative strategy, campaign conception, production, approvals, and trafficking assets.
- Manage brand-owned engagement program (“Brand Activation”) from ideation, conception, operationalizing, execution, cross-channel coordination, and reporting.
- Lead and own all requests in internal tools for campaign development & management (Workfront, CrossCap & Media Messaging Calendar, Smartsheet).
- Establish and lead competitive reporting for Brand Marketing and Media teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups (Media, Performance, Social, PR, Analytics, Finance, Product, Tech, etc.) to drive strategic marketing planning and execution.
- Track and develop actionable insights campaigns and report on campaign performance KPIs with insights from Consumer Insights, Media, and Performance Marketing Teams.
- Engage with the Consumer Insights team to develop best practices in creative testing that improve performance without inhibiting creativity.
- Collaborate with Consumer Insights to identify research needs, develop research models, brand/consideration lift studies, and execute projects.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 Years of consumer brand management / marketing experience; ideally including a mix of agency and either large corporate or startup environments.
- Hands-on experience managing omnichannel campaign development and execution (e.g. campaign/project timelines, budgets, media plans, etc.).
- Deep experience in Paid Social campaign execution and reporting (YouTube, Meta, and TikTok).
- Data-driven self-starter with demonstrated experience navigating through ambiguity in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Diplomacy and strong business acumen with proven experience influencing others and gaining internal mind share.
- Fluent in online and offline channel metrics and measurement.
- Adept at working in a cross-functional, matrixed organization with demonstrated ability to collaborate with various teams across the organization (e.g. Retail, Healthcare, PR, Product) in agile environments.
- Position may require some travel.
Bonus:
- Proven track record in the e-commerce space with an emphasis on connecting digital and offline experiences.
- Pet industry experience and/or affinity for pets/animals.
- Agency account management experience.
