Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for an experienced E-Commerce Analytics Manager with a background in analytics and business intelligence to join the Autoship Analytics & Data Science team at Chewy. In this Manager position, you will help us build scalable, robust analytics solutions for Autoship at Chewy. The team uses advanced analytics, statistics, and data science to understand and serve the needs of our pet-parents. Our exceptional team of data analysts and product managers work together to power various stages of customer lifecycle (acquisition, growth, management, retention) and marketing levers (product, pricing, promotions, placement, and convenience). With direct exposure to the cross-functional stakeholders, you will have a unique opportunity to formulate analytical solutions for these problems from scratch and develop customer-centric products for efficiency using experimentation, data science and analytics. Our team has single threaded ownership of the space allowing us to decide impactful projects that we can experiment, measure with metrics, and deliver at a fast pace. As part of the growing Autoship team, you will closely work with the analytics, product, data engineering and science teams focused on Autoship business functions, and you will have ample opportunities to provide structures to numerous business problems for all things marketing and existing Chewy customers.
What You'll Do:
- Produce insights and recommendations by using advanced analytics techniques on the massive amount of customer traffic, browsing and purchase data
- You will be responsible for design, development, delivery, support and automation of large-scale, disparate analytics solutions and visualizations.
- You will work with the product team and other partner teams to identify, understand & build analytics solutions that are easy to expand & simple to create.
- You will partner with Data Science, Product & Ecommerce Analytics Team on ideating & implementing A/B Testing and other optimization techniques.
- You will work on high visibility projects related to Autoship and will have an opportunity to directly influence the top line.
- You will help to define a start of art analytics infrastructure including customer data platforms and click-stream tool
- Set team standards and processes for analysis, reporting, dash boarding and tagging
- You will deliver projects successfully and drive initiatives for upkeep of health of our services in the face of growth.
What You'll Need:
- 5 years’ experience in E-Commerce/digital analytics or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to perform in-depth analysis, synthesize results, develop stories, build strategies, and make recommendations to business and technical leaders
- Expert-level Excel capabilities (data manipulation, formulas, modeling)
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline
- Demonstrated practical knowledge and hands-on experience in the areas of data visualization using Tableau or R Shiny, E-Commerce or Retail analytics, building basic data science models.
- Experience applying CS fundamentals in database design, data structures, algorithms and problem solving
- Experience with coding in SQL and at least, one open programming language like R or Python.
- Experience with A/B Testing & Optimization techniques
- Delivery experience working under an Agile/Scrum methodology
- Working knowledge of AWS data toolset (Glue, Athena, Sagemaker, Redshift, etc.)
- Experience of translating complex business problems into its MECE components and prioritizing different components on their values and impacts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to explain details of complex concepts to non-expert stakeholders in a simple understandable way
- You enjoy working in a team of highly engaged individuals, and you have a passion for not only analytics and KPIs, but also for delivering analysis of the highest quality
- Proven experience in identifying opportunities for business improvement and defining and measuring the success of those initiatives
Bonus:
- Modeling & Data science experience.
- Great Visualizations using R or Python
- Experience working with AWS or Similar Cloud Environments.
