FULL TIME: RT OR RPSGT
Chicago ENT’s Sleep Department is seeking a qualified, compassionate, and energetic Daytime Registered Polysomnographic Tech (RPGST) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our growing team! Your crucial role in our Sleep Department will center on the management of patients affected by sleep disorders within the ENT population. Travel is required for this role to our Halsted, Peterson, Thorek, and Skokie practices.
This is a daytime role (8:30AM-5PM) with no overnight or weekend hours required. The salary range is $26-$38/hr.
This role reports to the Practice Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to the sleep team in the evaluation of and care for patients with sleep disorders.
- Participate in provider clinic including PAP therapy support, mask fittings as well as troubleshooting PAP adherence and compliance issues. The ideal candidate is familiar with all PAP Modalities (APAP/CPAP, BIPAP and ASV therapy)
- Work closely with outside DME providers to ensure timely equipment delivery and patient care.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition with appropriate care team.
- Educate patients, family members, and care takers regarding treatment options for sleep apnea as well as management of ongoing therapy.
- This requires competency in various forms of PAP therapy and their online therapy management systems (Resmed, and Respironics)
- Review sleep study results with patients and triage them accordingly.
- Coordinate with department leads to ensure timely and accurate study and DME orders, clinical follow up, and therapy compliance.
- Properly inventory, maintain and clean all equipment per OSHA guidelines.
- Adherence to all other department policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Any one of the following:
- Registered Sleep Technologist (RPGST)
- Certified in Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy
Demonstrable time management and critical thinking skills
Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with other team members in a fast paced clinical environment
Confidence working with information systems including computers, programs, and EMR
Independent and self-directed worker
Excellent service skills including high level of compassion
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Current CPR
Willingness to travel to multiple Chicago ENT sites pending clinic with assigned physician
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Any one of the following
- Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in Illinois.
- Valid and unrestricted RPSGT clinical certificate.
- Conditional CCSE completion within 3 months of employment.
- CCSH credential
- CPR Certification
