Chicago Fire Football Club is a Major League Soccer team that was founded in 1997. The Club returned to Soldier Field as well as opened a new 50,000 square foot business office in the heart of the city. With tremendous growth and expansion, the Club is laying the foundation for an ambitious vision that will transform the Club in the coming years.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer with strong conceptual capabilities who are prepared to take their ideas all the way through to final delivery over print and digital.
A strategic, big-picture thinker who is also highly detail-oriented, you will have solid experience in working in a creative environment and a full-working knowledge of both print and digital production delivery techniques.
This role requires a ‘can do’ attitude and will reside within the organization’s Marketing Department and will report directly to the Creative Director. This person will also engage with the Director of Marketing, Community Relations Director, Director of Communications, Social Media Manager, Web Content Producer, Senior Video Producer, media external creative agencies, and the marketing team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver compelling design concepts - graphics and layouts that are more than just photoshop cut outs with drop shadows
- Develop creative that supports sales and builds equity in the organization’s brand whilst working within brand guidelines and any established campaign structure as needed
- Prepare visual guidelines for company-wide creative assets
- Take tasks from design brief all the way through to implementation on multiple platforms
- Maintain industry acuity on the latest digital social media trends shaping professional sports, ie: live and breathe the cross-section of sports, pop culture, music, fashion, art, and entertainment
- Mentoring Junior Designer(s)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in a design focused role, prior experience in sports marketing is required
- Fluent in design, sports, fashion, editorial, film and tech—as well as visual history and classical references
- Highly skilled in using industry-leading software and technologies, ie: Adobe Creative Cloud - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, PowerPoint and Keynote
- Ability to communicate and present ideas whilst explaining design decisions to peers senior leadership
- Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to meet firm deadlines and budgets
- Strong time management and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously and use excellent judgment in escalating issues to supervisors
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, performance-driven work environment
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including all home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays
