FT Nanny - JC 0234

Job Description: Oak Park family seeks an experienced, loving nanny to join their team. Primary care will be for the new baby but the family also has a 4 year old in full-time school. Start date is Spring 2023 after new baby arrives.

Compensation: $960 -1000 /week vacation, PTO and holidays.

Schedule: Guaranteed 40 hours. M-F 8:30am – 4:30pm. Some flexibility needed with advanced notice.

Job Details and Responsibilities:

• Two children. Older child in full-time school and newborn baby at home. Primary care is for the infant but nanny should be comfortable caring for both when needed.
• Responsibilities include all care of the children. Feeding, changing, naps/quiet time, taking out to age-appropriate activities or walks.
• Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding developmental milestones such as tummy time, starting solids, gross motor skills, etc.
• When baby is older, nanny will help prepare baby food.
• Light housekeeping such as cleaning up after meals, rinsing dishes, loading the dishwasher, wipe down kitchen surfaces, children’s laundry.
• Family has a small elderly dog. No care is required but nanny shouldn’t have allergies.

Qualifications:

• Nanny should have verifiable experience working with infants on up and 2 children at once.
• Both parents work from home. Family is looking for someone collaborative with strong communication skills.
• Nanny should truly love children and view nannying as more than a job.
• A second language is welcome but not required.
• Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. If driving is needed in the future, family can provide a vehicle for use on the job.
• COVID boosters, TDAP and Flu shots required
