The Kitchen Director will serve on the executive leadership team. This position is a leader in the restaurant that is dedicated to executing excellence in our kitchen in the areas of Speed, Accuracy, and Taste of Food in a clean kitchen. This leader should focus on continuous improvement in a LEAN environment and development of people, processes and effective communication. The main responsibility of this role is not to lie within the flow of the day-to-day business (but remain engaged) but spend their time on items that make for a successful restaurant. The Kitchen Director should develop strategies and put ideas into action that drive the store towards our vision. The leader must guide and develop upper level leadership to assist in turning ideas into action!

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Financial stewardship management through labor cost, food cost, repairs, and other supplies
- Innovative and strategic thinking that ultimately leads to increased capacity (more guests, faster service)
- Applies LEAN principles
- Daily commitment to our stores Vision & Values
- Sets Goals and Visually shares them with the team
- Maintains a consistent, positive attitude - leads by example
- Operates in all functions with a sense of urgency
- Coordinates with Facilities team concerning any repairs or replacements
- Develop creative ways to drive and motivate the team to reach our goals
- Creates daily focus on goals around speed and taste of food
- Maintain Personal Development Plans (One-on-Ones) for each leader and help develop their leadership skills
- Take time out of each week for personal development in business and leadership
- Schedule planning time for store improvement. Though your job is to give freedom and responsibility to upper level leadership it’s important to do research and planning in these focus areas as well. You might see details that younger leadership does not
- Your job is not to always give the answer, but ask the right questions and guide your team towards a new way of thinking
- Planning and executing kitchen leader meetings
Systems & Processes:
- Approve the quality of opening and closing by performing walkthroughs with the BOH leaders
- Ensure team members and leaders consistently follow all processes and procedures
- Work with Director to ensure that team members are trained properly
- Protect the brand by ensuring that packing, food preparation, and quality is top level
- Utilize reports to ensure consistency and quality of products
- Inventory management
- End of month counts and input
- Maintaining accurate transfer logs
- Overall inventory organization and FIFO
- Assist in identifying potential leaders and their development

Compensation:
- Starting pay: $20-22 (commensurate with experience and availability)
- Position Type: Full-Time, Flexible Availability Needed (Be able to work various shifts)
