About the Role:

Chief is looking for an experienced manager to lead Chief’s network of group facilitators and executive coaches called Guides for a new vertical currently in incubation. These Guides are integral to one of Chief’s key offerings, as they facilitate powerful small group discussions amongst members. You will be responsible for training, managing, and supporting our team of Guides for our New Verticals team. The ideal candidate for this role is a people manager with a background in operations and education. This is a new role which will report into the Sr. Director of Learning, New Verticals and will partner with Chief’s larger Guides team.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the onboarding, engagement, and performance of our Guide community for New Verticals.
  •  Partner with our talent acquisition team to hire a skilled team of Guides, ensuring they are hired in time to meet demand and set up for success from the start.
  • Build and drive Guides’ onboarding experience and training throughout the Guide lifecycle as-needed in order to provide exceptional value for our Guides.
  • Ensure that the member experience led by Guides is consistently delivered in an effective, high-quality, and engaging manner.
  • Create a program to deliver member feedback to Guides and ensure quality of the Guides.
  • Develop relationships with Guides to nurture an engaging and connected community.
  • Be the voice of Guides by collecting feedback, ideas, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Swiftly act on time-sensitive issues that may arise from Guides and collaborate in our issue escalation processes as needed.
  • Motivate, inspire, and maintain a positive work culture for Guides and cross-functional team stakeholders.

What you’ve done and enjoy doing:

  • Experience in an operational and/or educational role with proven success implementing initiatives (day-to-day and longer-term) with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong people management skillset, including hiring and onboarding teams, with a preference for experience managing remote teams and large groups of independent contractors.
  • Led professional trainings with comfort in building and adapting educational materials.
  • Brought initiatives from ideation to execution through detailed planning, structure, data, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience with high-touch, white-glove customer service.
  • Delivered both positive and challenging news to important organization stakeholders.
  • Good judgment on when to escalate issues and decisions that may need more strategic/leadership input.
  • Savvy at analyzing data and creating compelling slide decks to convey findings and next steps.
  • Self-starter by nature; comfortable working independently, updating senior stakeholders as needed.
  • Operates well in a fast-paced, often-ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Exceptional EQ.
