Chiesi Global Rare Diseases
Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.
The unit is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and has an initial focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology and ophthalmology disorders. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care.

Purpose
A new opportunity is now open within our Global HR Department!
We are looking for an HR Business Partner for Rare Disease, who will report to the GRD Strategic HR Business Partner.
S/He will be the main HR Business Partner for the following areas/departments:
Global Medical Affairs
Global Patient Advocacy
Global Value & Access
Boston Site Lead
and will provide counsel and partnership to leaders and employees to achieve strategic and operations objectives and build, foster, and maintain a high performing and engaged workforce aligned with overall business strategy.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and deploy HR strategies and initiatives enabling the function/region to achieve its short and long term strategy and goals.
Proactively work with management and employees to support positive working relationships and retention strategies.
Collaborate with and provide functional insights and proposed solutions to HR partners in local geographies and global COEs to ensure the “voice of the employee” is integrated into HR processes and programs.
Partner with HR colleagues in operations, talent acquisition, and learning and development to ensure full leverage within the functions/regions supported of all HR programs, policies, and systems available.
Partner with leaders to define workforce needs and ideal profiles; support selection process for all open requisitions in assigned areas/departments.
Analyze trends in performance, employee engagement, retention, and DE&I and recommend solutions for improvement.
Partners with function on talent development, talent management, organizational development and changes, culture initiatives, and deployment of HR standard programs and processes
Coach people managers on how to anticipate and resolve issues in alignment with our global values & behaviors.
Partners with function on development and execution of activities to further high-performance team functioning.
In coordination with leaders, define resource needs for the future according to the organization’s strategic direction and workforce planning process.
Partner with site/affiliate HR and labor law on specific employment matters as applicable.
Lead and/or contribute to special projects as assigned.

Experience Required
5-8 years as an HR Business Partner.
Experience working in a global and/or complex matrix organization.
Demonstrated proficiency in Written, Verbal and Face-to-face communication to effectively present information to and influence decision making of managers, working partners (local and global), and government agencies.
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail while responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education
Degree in Human Resources or related field of study.
Languages
English fluent.
Location
Preferred location is Boston, but there is flexibility in evaluating other possible locations based on candidate’s needs.
