This position requires considerable demand for independent judgment and action and serves as a member of the finance team. This role is responsible for supporting the accounting function for our Early Childhood Program (ECP) as well as supporting the CCG Finance team with the month-end closing process and special projects. Works under the general supervision of the Controller.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Prepares monthly billings for various grants including inputting drawdowns into government payment systems.
- Prepares monthly financial reports for ECP grants and contracts for internal and external users.
- Reviews transactions to ensure they are reasonable, allowable, and allocable to the grants or programs they are coded to.
- Ensures revenue, expenses, and release of restrictions related to grants are recorded timely.
- Performs monthly general ledger account reviews, reconciliations, and analysis as needed.
- Prepares grant budgets and annual grant reporting.
- Assists with special projects which may include, but are not limited to preparation of budget worksheets, audit schedules, and various account analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business with 3 or more years of accounting experience, CPA a plus
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Nonprofit accounting and governmental accounting experience a plus
- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets required (v-lookups, pivot tables etc.)
- Experience with Sage Intacct a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines required
- Must demonstrate ability to work well with people, both within and outside of the agency
Travel and Compliance
- Must have a valid driver's license if applicable
- Driving record must comply with CCG's automobile insurance carrier requirements
- Must have liability insurance coverage and reliable personal transportation
- Ability to travel locally or out of town as required
- Mileage reimbursement is offered when applicable
- Must submit to and successfully pass all required CCG and Partner Program background checks throughout employment. These include Satisfactory Credit Score Check, FBI Fingerprinting, Child Neglect and Abuse, Federal, State, Local, and Sex Offender background checks. Background check requirements may be expanded at the discretion of CCG and Partner Programs
