What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Learning Educator position at Child & Co.?
Imagine working in an innovative classroom space that allows you creativity and flexibility to inspire the youngest minds. At Child & Co., we are re-thinking traditional child care and office settings. You will care for a small group of children during morning and/or afternoon sessions while parents work on the premises.
Full-time and part-time positions are available for ages 3 months - 4 years. A Child & Co. position includes the opportunity to join a startup company at the ground level. As a Child & Co. Educator, you will:
- Personally contribute to the team goal of providing fun, educational and caring services to the children of members and guests, in a warm and welcoming environment
- Maintain quality standards and keep the classroom safe and clean by following important procedures and guidelines
- Develop classroom plans, goals, and lead hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s interests and needs
- Nurture children through relationships, play, and participate in everyday activities such as organizing arts and crafts time, leading games, reading stories and singing songs
- Communicate daily with parents while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service. Document and share the important milestones in their child’s day through written and/or mobile application updates
- Create a positive work culture by teaming with fellow Educators and management staff, maintaining the values of Child & Co.
- Attend staff meetings, training, and development workshops as needed
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
- Candidates must pass required state and company background checks
- ECE coursework or DCF 45 Hours required
- Must be able to fully engage in physical activity including lifting up to 50lbs
- At least 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool required
- CDA or higher level of education preferred
- Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification preferred or required during on the job training
- Understanding of Montessori philosophy preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
