Do you have a big heart and have a passion for helping children? Child Crisis Arizona is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join our team to further our mission of protecting Arizona's most vulnerable children from abuse and neglect, and to help build strong families.
Seeking Senior Accountant to be part of 3-person team reporting directly to the CFO. Duties include those listed below with emphasis on Accounts Payable process and vendor contract maintenance, behavioral health billing to insurance, administration of purchase card system, and accounting for capital campaign.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Making recommendations for improvements and enhancements to current processes and internal controls
- Backing-up the job functions performed by other finance department staff
- Completing additional assignments, tasks, and reports as directed by the immediate supervisor listed above
- Managing workflow to generate and submit behavioral health billings
- Administrator for company purchase cards
- Providing training and guidance to purchase cardholders
- Responsible for weekly accounts payable processing and check run
- Responsible for maintenance of accounts payable vendor files and contracts
- Assist in preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Reviewing and analyzing revenue and expense accounts
- Reconciling balance sheet general ledger accounts
- Performing assigned month-end close processes
- Maintaining accounting records as they relate to capital campaign
- Assisting in IRS reporting at year-end
- Assisting in annual budget process
- Assisting in preparation for annual financial statement audits
- Positively representing the Finance department both internally and externally
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Blackbaud Financial Edge experience preferred
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and comfortable with technology in performing job duties
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
