We are seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to work on a variety of administrative tasks and coordinate daily operations to support the Infant & Toddler Behavior Consultant program under the direction of the Infant & Toddler Behavior Consultant Supervisor. The Virginia Infant & Toddler Specialist Network is a program of Child Development Resources, and is supported by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) Grant #93.575, with funds made available to Virginia from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This is a grant-funded position and continuation of employment is contingent on future funding and satisfactory job performance.
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a child-related field or field related to the provision of mental health consultation is required.
Experience: Prefer a minimum of two years supervisory experience in providing direct service which includes at least one year of direct work with infants and toddlers; a minimum of one year of experience working with adults (e.g., training, mentoring, or supervising caregivers/teachers); and 25 - 40 hours of previously delivered training experience.
Qualifications:

Must possess a strong knowledge base in child growth and development, including social emotional development in children birth to three.

Must possess excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, the ability to mentor and coach adult learners, and provide services that are culturally competent and appropriate to the needs of the target audience.

Must possess independent judgement and initiative in oversight and supervisory responsibilities working with consultants and stakeholders, IT caregivers/teachers, directors, families, and staff to carry out statewide activities.

Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and stakeholders, IT caregivers/teachers, directors, families, and those from diverse populations.

Must possess knowledge of mental health prevention and promotion including, integration of social emotional development supports in child care settings as well as screening and assessment.

Must possess knowledge of best practices to provide a family-centered approach to consultation.

Must possess the skills and ability to use equipment necessary to carry out job responsibilities (e.g., computer and training software, cell/telephone, facsimile machine, projectors, digital cameras and video recorders).

Must be able to travel throughout the state, including overnight travel as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Works with Infant Toddler Behavior Consultants (ITBC) to plan scope of work and monitor timelines.

Maintains, manages and monitors monthly data for accuracy and timely submission.

Creates, manages and reviews data outcome reports for accuracy and program compliance.

Consults with the supervisor and Infant Toddler Behavior Consultants on a regular basis to discuss caseload progress and program issues.

Conducts program evaluation surveys to monitor programs satisfaction with ITBC services received (by phone or site visit).

Audits program and child charts and provides feedback for Infant Toddler Behavior Consultants.

Assists with training evaluations and program monitoring as needed.

Assists in the coordination of statewide training events.

Assists with on-boarding and off-boarding of staff.

Performs other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.
