Salary Range (final salary offer is based on a number of factors, such as certifications, experience, and more):
$17.00/hour - $20.00/hour

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age

High School Diploma or College Degree

Completion of 40-Hour DV Advocate Training highly preferred, but will provide training within one month of hire.

2 years’ experience working in a professional office setting

Prior experience in case management in a social services program, preferred.

Applicants with personal experience with Domestic Violence are encouraged to apply.

Participants in the County’s Department of Public Social Services Greater Avenues for Independence (GAIN) Program or General Relief Opportunity for Work (GROW) Program are encouraged to apply.

Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.

Requires the ability to independently use a computer and learn necessary computer programs.

Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in tasks and schedules and is detail- oriented.

Ability to analyze tasks and perform efficiently with minimal direction or assistance; proficient in multi-tasking.

Must maintain a valid California driver’s license, insurance and driving record which complies with agency’s insurance carrier standards.

Must pass all applicable health, fingerprint/LiveScan and DMV clearances.

JOB PURPOSE:

Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor – Domestic Violence, the CMAA is responsible for helping the Program Supervisor & Program Manager of the Domestic Violence program, with development and implementation of case management, as well as administrative duties ensuring compliance with County, State, and Federal contracts including CalWORKS.

CMAA’s are energetic self-starters who are able to function comfortably in a team environment or independently and relates well to co-workers and County representatives. This position requires flexibility and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks with little supervision. The individual in this position must be able to assume a wide range of responsibilities, provide timely responses to requests and deadlines and works well under pressure.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Answer outreach hotline and triage callers to determine appropriate services and resources
  • Perform intakes which include individual counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy, as needed.
  • Assist with safety planning, temporary restraining orders, coordination of court and/or mediation accompaniment, and general assistance with the law enforcement aspects of victim services and understanding court orders, as needed
  • Provide case management services carrying a smaller caseload, which includes ongoing assessments and developing individualized- goal oriented service plans to enhance safety, stability, and self- sufficiency for the client and their family.
  • Assist client in achieving goals through advocacy, information, and referrals.
  • Maintain organization and upkeep of Case management resources which include legal, health, substance abuse, employment, education, and other services
  • Facilitate DV and Life Skills education support groups which educates clients on the dynamics of domestic violence, healthy relationships, and parenting skills, as needed.
  • Attends community meetings and assists with outreach, as needed.
  • Provide transportation for clients, as needed.
  • Maintain proper documentation of client services in a timely manner.
  • Maintain petty cash levels, log and complete reconciliation reports for the disbursement of petty cash for both Outreach & the Shelter.
  • Organizes functional timecards for staff to complete.
  • Completes documentation required for CalWORKs (CW) approvals, maintains tracking log for CW clients
  • Assists with all administrative tasks for grants as required.
  • Assists Program supervisor with coordination and implementation of all programming to ensure accordance with all City, County, and Federal grants and contracts.
  • Attend all training, staff meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

WORK SCHEDULE: (subject to change based on Center’s needs)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Full Time

Work-Week: Sunday – Saturday

- Actual work schedule as agreed with Direct Supervisor and based on business/program needs.
