Early Education Teacher - Preschool

Busy Bees Preschool is seeking additional support staff ( substitutes & an associate teacher) to be a part of our classroom community where teachers are valued and supported by our director, co-teachers, administration and families! Busy Bees excels at creating classroom environments that are intentionally built to act as a second teacher while facilitating a top-notch curriculum that is not only engaging but fun! Our team of talented and dedicated professionals are skilled at caring for children and providing a sound educational program while acting as a resource for families! Classroom teachers are thoroughly trained and assigned to a mentor teacher working with preschool children ages 2.5 through 5 years old. Job responsibilities include; planning and facilitating a developmentally appropriate curriculum, assessing child progress and setting next steps, creating classroom goals, providing a clean and organized environment, decorating the classroom and classroom bulletin boards, adhering to center and state guidelines and policies, communicating with co-teachers and parents, venturing outdoors daily, maintaining required professional development hours and maintaining safety at all times. Educational Requirements-

Must be fluent in English. An associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) preferred but will train.

Experience Requirements-

Recent teaching experience (1 year or greater) in an early childhood classroom (public or private) preferred. Past teaching experience will be considered.

Employee Requirements-

Employee must be willing to complete a full background check, provide 3 letters of reference, hold a current cpr/first aid certificate (or being willing to obtain), complete required trainings such as health & safety and mandated reporter training among other center or state requirements. Must be available Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30am-4:30pm (possibly additional hours for staff meetings and school-wide events).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
