What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative Director position at Childhelp?
Position Summary:
Supports Childhelp’s fundraising and mission, nationally, through the creative development and management of visual materials including marketing collateral, videos for events, public service announcements, and other digital and print assets.
This position does not have direct reports.
Essential Functions:
Creative Management Services
- Leads and directs the design and production of visual and audio materials and media used for advertising, broadcast, web and events
- Oversees creation of art, photo, video, and layout design; and plans, directs, and coordinates all creative/art activities
- Establishes and implements design and format standards and processes to produce consistent and high quality results
- Executes creative objectives, specifications, and concepts to design advertising, media, print, and mail campaign materials
- Selects any outside or contract vendors, approves and coordinates projects, and manages relationships with vendors
- Ensures that project/creative milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Design, develop and process branded marketing collateral and requests for Childhelp including brochures, program impact reports, annual reports, stationary, business cards, SWAG, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five years’ marketing, fundraising, donor development or creative experience
- Extensive knowledge of the creative services function
- Proficient in the use of a PC in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Adobe Suite proficiency preferred
- Bachelor's degree in visual arts preferred
