Currently, we are looking for Lead School Age Teachers. Hours may range between 7:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Primary classrooms are 5-12-year-old children, with occasional child care for ages 2-4.
Requirements:
- One year of experience in a Child Care Center.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have completed 90 clock hours in child development/curriculum and hold a School-Age Certification.
- Must have Associates Degree* in Early Childhood Education or related field.
*Candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered if they maintain continued education with the goal of achieving these criteria within 2 years.
General Responsibilities:
- Exhibit teamwork, flexibility, patience, and a professional attitude.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Always maintain staff/child ratios.
Classroom Responsibilities:
- In the summer months, provide planning and execution of Summer Camp activities for 5–12-year-olds.
- During the school year, provide a weekly lesson plan with daily activities for children that are in our care before and after school.
- Promote and supervise activities that promote the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child.
- Supervision of children: you will be charged with the safety and well-being of ALL children in your care. Deal with challenging behavior in a positive and professional manner set forth by the Behavior Management & Discipline Policy.
