As a Medical Assistant in the Primary Care department at Children’s Health, you will play an important part in helping children get the care they need.
As a warm, caring person who welcomes patients and their families when they arrive, you’ll put patients and their families at ease and set the tone for the rest of their visit. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for examination/treatment, taking vitals signs and documenting them in the medical record, obtaining blood/urine specimens and ordering the lab analysis and transport of specimens. You will also ensure that the examination rooms remain clean and stocked with appropriate medical supplies as well as perform EKG’s as required for the department.
This is a full-time position working 10 hour shifts between Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.
Experience
Minimum of 6 months experience in a patient care setting or completion of an MA program.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire and renewed bi-annually
