Overview
Provides professional and administrative support to the department staff in accordance with the hospital and department mission statement.
Coordinates and performs technical and administrative activities including patient check-in and registration, account management, appointment scheduling, and clinic coordination to allow for efficient and coordinated clinic flow.
Provides clear communication with patients, families, co-workers, and all members of the health care team utilizing the principles of service excellence.

Responsibilities
- Greets and provides assistance to patients, families, visitors including patient check-in and registration, in a patient / parent friendly atmosphere, utilizing behaviors from service excellence.
- Communication skills including answering incoming calls promptly, providing accurate information, and referring calls to appropriate party.
- Coordination of specialty Clinic scheduling )feeding, seating, SI) including patient scheduling for evaluations and follow-up appointments.
- Assists in maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations.
Qualifications
HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience with customer relations, phone management, computer entry, filing, and office management.
