Please visit childrensMN.org. Position Summary The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) is an integral member of the pediatric health care team. The BHS will provide immediate/same-day access to ambulatory behavioral health services through partnership with the health care team, to assess, diagnose, and triage patients appropriately. The BHS is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention services, resource mobilization, brief therapeutic intervention, as well as identifying and connecting patients/families with community-based services.
Qualifications:

Yes, licensed in state of Minnesota as LGSW, LICSW, LMFT Are there any preferred certifications or professional credentials? No Education: * Master's degree in social work or marriage & family therapy. Required Experience: * Experience providing crisis intervention. * Two years of experience in counseling in a health care-related setting, or two years' experience in a pediatric-related setting, or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinic environment. * Strong clinical skills with ability to exercise independent judgment, work autonomously, and exhibit high degree of professionalism. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Strong understanding of child development, normal and atypical. * Ability to develop rapport with wide variety of patients and families.
